Services

Olivabot B.V., Amsterdam. Firmware, edge AI that runs without a cloud, software that keeps data in Europe, EU hosting, and short technical assessments. We work in milestones, remote and autonomously. Email first; a call if you ask. No day rate, no hourly rate, no timesheet. Email services@olivabot.com — we reply within two working days.

How we charge

A day rate prices our time. You do not want our time — you want the device to stop dying in three days, or a thing your customers can log into. Those are worth what they are worth, and it has nothing to do with how many days we spend.

So we agree a project outline, then we work in milestones. Each step is quoted in writing before it starts. You check the work, pay, and decide whether to continue. You can stop after any milestone. If a step takes longer than we thought, that is our problem, not a bigger invoice.

Fees vary with the job. Email what you need and we will quote, or tell you honestly if it is not us.

How we work

We work remote and autonomously. Once the deliverables and milestones are agreed, we get on with them. We prefer email. A call or a video call if you ask for one.

We say up front what we think it will take, and where it might go wrong. We start with the hardest problems — the risks that, once mitigated, make the rest of the project safer to finish.

Work we have delivered

Madglove Sense – With Madglove Amsterdam BV, we integrated battery-powered motion sensing into their functional orthosis without interfering with the glove: from a first prototype to devices small enough for a finger ring, plus a computer-vision tool for physiotherapists to measure hand progress. November 2024 to June 2026.

Mycosense – With Mycofarming BV, we built water, soil, and infrared camera systems for mycofiltration and mycelium growth — MycoLab blocks, miniaturized MycoTowers, and outdoor LoRaWAN probes — plus cloud dashboards for monitoring.

Read both case studies, or see experimental R&D in projects.

Who this is for

Hardware startups, agritech and medtech teams, and anyone whose job is software, data, or design files. Work is remote and autonomous, across the EU.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with non-technical teams?
Yes. We help non-technical founders get software they can show: a site, a model, a dashboard, CAD files.
How fast can you deliver?
We reply to every enquiry within two working days. Then an outline and milestones. We say up front what we think it will take, and start with the hardest risks. We do not build physical hardware as a service.
How does the process work?
Email us. We prefer email; a call or video call if you ask. Then a project outline, then we work remotely and autonomously in milestones — hardest risks first. You check each step, pay, and continue if you like — or stop. Each milestone is quoted in writing before it starts. Hosting is monthly, cancellable with a month’s notice. No timesheets.
What's your payment model?
Each milestone is quoted in writing before it starts. You pay for that step when you have checked the work. You can stop after any milestone. Hosting is monthly, cancellable with a month’s notice. No timesheets.
How do I get a price?
Email services@olivabot.com with what you need. We reply within two working days with a quote, or tell you if it is not us. Fees vary with the job.
Do you handle cloud and data security?
We can host in the EU and sign a processing agreement if we hold the data. That is not “GDPR done.” You still own compliance; a lawyer covers the legal side. See the data and privacy review.
Do you build devices and 3D-print parts?
No. Firmware, CAD (including files for 3D print), IoT software, and dashboards — yes. Assembling boxes or running a printer — no.
Who is your ideal client?
EU teams who need a senior pair of hands for days or weeks rather than a permanent hire — firmware, software, CAD, or a short consulting call. Not a workshop to mill a first robot, and not a body shop.
