Services
Olivabot B.V., Amsterdam. Firmware, edge AI that runs without a cloud, software that keeps data in Europe, EU hosting, and short technical assessments. We work in milestones, remote and autonomously. Email first; a call if you ask. No day rate, no hourly rate, no timesheet. Email services@olivabot.com — we reply within two working days.
How we charge
A day rate prices our time. You do not want our time — you want the device to stop dying in three days, or a thing your customers can log into. Those are worth what they are worth, and it has nothing to do with how many days we spend.
So we agree a project outline, then we work in milestones. Each step is quoted in writing before it starts. You check the work, pay, and decide whether to continue. You can stop after any milestone. If a step takes longer than we thought, that is our problem, not a bigger invoice.
Fees vary with the job. Email what you need and we will quote, or tell you honestly if it is not us.
How we work
We work remote and autonomously. Once the deliverables and milestones are agreed, we get on with them. We prefer email. A call or a video call if you ask for one.
We say up front what we think it will take, and where it might go wrong. We start with the hardest problems — the risks that, once mitigated, make the rest of the project safer to finish.

- CAD and mechanical design – files for 3D print or a supplier, plus DFM calls. Files, not the printed part.
- Data and privacy review – cameras, sensors, databases, and what can leak. Call and report. Not legal advice.
- IoT dashboards – for sensors you already own, with the data in Europe.
- Robot control software – architecture and code if you already have the machine. Ask; scoped alongside firmware.
- Something too slow, or data outside the EU – C++, Rust, Python. Email for a quote.
Work we have delivered
Madglove Sense – With Madglove Amsterdam BV, we integrated battery-powered motion sensing into their functional orthosis without interfering with the glove: from a first prototype to devices small enough for a finger ring, plus a computer-vision tool for physiotherapists to measure hand progress. November 2024 to June 2026.
Mycosense – With Mycofarming BV, we built water, soil, and infrared camera systems for mycofiltration and mycelium growth — MycoLab blocks, miniaturized MycoTowers, and outdoor LoRaWAN probes — plus cloud dashboards for monitoring.
